Tom Pitzen’s education as an artist and designer began at The Ohio State University School of Architecture that included an International Studies Program in Italy.
After graduating Tom opened a small wood shop in Columbus, Ohio. He produced custom cabinetry, furniture and many of the early displays for the Wexner Center for Arts that went on to travel throughout North America.
In 2002 Tom made the move to Gulfport, Florida. The quaint down town, the eclectic mix of people and the art scene drew him in. His first large scale public art piece was created for the City of Imagination at the Gulfport Neighborhood Center in 2008.
Originally a kitchen, bath and library designer, his work has been featured in countless upscale homes thoughout the Tampa Bay area and beyond. He is now focused exclusively on his art and has created many large scale public and commercial art pieces in St. Petersburg, Lakeland and Gulfport Florida.
Tom prefers commissioned work and enjoys working with his customers to create one of a kind pieces.
